For a long time I let Aiona mostly rest while focusing on other projects. In 2025 I have turned my focus back to my gem, and what a month January has been! Here is a small summary of what I have accomplished during the past month.
New website
On 11th of January I launched my new website. While there are some minor changes in the pipeline I am very happy with the new design. For example, I want to do some small changes on the landing page and update some of the website texts.
Social media
On the social media front I have changed the name of my FB-page to ”Aiona – Art of Presence”, as it better describes my focus. I have also dusted of my Instagram and Thread feeds where I post about consent, boundaries, presence, mindfulness, relationships etc.
I also started to update my Twitter/X, but decided to stop using that plattform for ethical reasons. Instead I have started to use BlueSky. On all social media I can be found under the username @Aionacoaching.
Workshops
In January I held 2 workshops. The first was titled ”Presence & Play (17 Jan)” and the second ”Art of Presence (31 Jan).
Presence & Play
In this workshop the focus was on creating a good foundation from which participants could be invited to play with playfulness, senses and pleasure. The participants were guided through exercises to find presence in their own bodies, to verbally communicate their yes and no and then to practice this communication through physical touch.
In the second half of the workshop participants were invited to seek their playful side, to explore what they could experience without sight and lastly a serve-accept exercise to feel pleasure in groups of 3.
One participant left the following feedback: ”A very nice space, safe and with good exercises, thank you”.
Art of Presence
This is the workshop I have facilitated the most. The focus is to learn tips and strategies to feel more present, and then to use this state of presence to give touch to their workshop partner.
In the first half participants are invited to explore presence through breath, sound, movement and touch. Then in the second half I give tips and hints on how they can be more present in their giving and receiving of physical touch.
Every time I held this workshop the atmosphere has been magical, it is such a delight to share this knowledge with others.
One participant left the following feedback: ”I felt a really deep connection with my workshop partner, I am so happy I went to this workshop”.
Tips for presence
On my social media I give short tips on how to cultivate more present moments in life. Below are the tips from Januari
Presence and gratitude
In presence, we can slow down and build awareness of what’s happening in the body. We sense our emotions, identify current needs, and create a safe space where consent is fundamental, fostering more pleasure in connection with others.
One exercise for increased presence is to make a warm drink and cuddle up under a blanket. Notice the smell and taste of the drink, how the blanket wraps and warms your body. Then focus on 1–3 things about yourself that you feel grateful for in this moment.
h3>Present hugs/h3>
In today’s fast-paced world, we often rush through tasks and forget to be present with important people in our lives. A simple exercise to slow down and connect is to extend your next hug—pause, hold it longer, breathe together, and feel the closeness and shared trust.
Present notifications/h3>
After a hopefully pleasant weekend it is time to go back to work/school. To keep the weekend’s calm, focus on your breathing. Before checking your phone for a notification, pause and take a few deep, gentle breaths before diving into the digital world.
That is all for January folks!
